Preston Turano
Dr. Preston Turano graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Since that time he has held roles as an associate veterinarian, a relief veterinarian and a veterinary practice owner at Lombard Animal Hospital in Portland, Oregon. His focus was on internal medicine and preventive care for cats and dogs. He also enjoyed engaging with owners and helping them understand their pets medical needs and listening to their concerns. Dr. Turano also has experience working in the corporate environment as a veterinarian and medical director. His experience and skills as a leader were utilized to create a training workshop to help other veterinarians succeed in the role of medical director.
Outside of the veterinary world Dr. Turano likes to spend his free time in the outdoors - hiking, biking, paddle boarding or snowboarding in the surrounding areas of the Pacific Northwest.
Currently, he is working with his wife, Dr. Nell Ostermeier, in a supportive role for her education program that she provides for integrative veterinarians who practice acupuncture. Additionally, he is a veterinary expert for Figo Pet Insurance consulting on a range of health topics for pet owners.
